Flexible Spending Account

Based in Orange, California, Conexis (formerly FlexPro) is the nation's premier provider of Flexible Benefits Administration. The Plan allows participating employees to redirect a portion of their earnings on a pre-tax basis (exempt from Federal Withholding, State Withholding and FICA) to pay for certain allowable expenses for health and dependent care expenses. Employees may reduce their taxable income by enrolling in Wahlco’s sponsored Flexible Spending Account. These tax savings can apply to employee’s share of insurance premiums as well as other benefit options.

HEALTH CARE REIMBURSEMENT ACCOUNT

You can use the Heath Care Reimbursement Account up to $2,500 pre-tax, per year, to pay for a variety of expenses not covered by the Medical and Dental plans, such as co-payments and deductibles, hearing aids, vision care, acupuncture and Lasik surgery, to name a few.

DEPENDENT CARE REIMBURSEMENT ACCOUNT

The Dependent Care Reimbursement Account, also administered by Conexis (formerly FlexPro), allows deductions up to $5,000 of pre-tax earnings per year for eligible child and/or elder care expenses.

Employees may use the Dependent Care Reimbursement Account to pay for eligible expenses for:

  • Children under age 13
  • Disabled children of any age or your physically or mentally disabled spouse
  • Dependent parents, or your spouse’s dependent parents, who are incapable of caring for themselves.
