The flexible benefit plan allows participants to put away money on a pre-tax basis for health care and dependent care reimbursement. Employees may defer up to $2,500 pre-tax per year to be reimbursed for prescriptions, over the counter drugs, insurance deductibles, co-payments, glasses and contact lenses, orthodontia and other health care expenses not covered by insurance.
DEPENDENT CARE REIMBURSEMENT ACCOUNT
Employees may also defer up to $5,000 pre-tax per year to pay for eligible child and/or elder care expenses.
